From Ethel Selmonsky Jaker’s trip diary…

June 13, 1964: We arrived in Paris on a record hot day.

Had an experience finding hotel room.  Had nice one, but bathroom door wouldn’t close.

Went to a flea market – like a tremendous Orchard Street as it was 20 years ago – but filled with beautiful antiques and all else imaginable. Doris and I bought bread, cheese and wine.

Then it was on to Gallerie Lafayette to buy French parasols and a purse for Doris.
