Memories from Michael:

Dad had a lot of great stories about boot camp.

Basically, if you've ever seen the movie BILOXI BLUES, that was his exact experience.  Jewish guy from Brooklyn as a fish out of water in Biloxi, Mississippi.

My favorite story is when they were doing war games and he was chosen to be an intentionally captured enemy soldier so that they could practice their interrogation techniques on him.

He gave himself the phony foreign-sounding name "Herve Sternwaldo."
