A story from Peter:

Harvey was born in 1930.  While Doris and Luke wanted more children, they decided to hold off for a while due to The Depression. 

In 1935, Luke was told that he would get back his old position with the MTA (engineering) in January 1936.  So Luke and Doris decided it was time for another baby.  

Sue was born in January 1936.

However, Luke's position was not restored until June.
