Irv Jaker
A story from PJ:
Out of all the relatives that visited us in the Poconos it was clear that Irv enjoyed it the most.
At a time when Ken and I had to be bribed to help with the gardening, he eagerly joined in.
Of course I'm not sure that you can call removing rocks to create a path through the trees, gardening. But either way his efforts were so appreciated that Sue named a path after him - it has been known ever since as "Uncle Irv's short cut."
From Bette - a photo from Ethel Selmonsky Jaker's collection:
Written on the back of the photo:
"At the Lehrer's in the Poconos. Irv made this in the fall of 1974 - PJ and Kenneth made the sign."
