Barry Lehrer - 1958

 

 

A story from PJ Lehrer:

 

When we were children, Sue had to go into the hospital for an operation, and Barry had to take care of Ken and me. 

Although she wasn't gone very long, Barry decided to buy me a new blouse in his favorite color - blue.

When he gave it to me he said: "If your mom asks where you got it, just tell her you found it in your drawer."

Fast forward, Sue returns from the hospital, and I decide to wear my new blouse.  When Sue sees me she says: "Where did you get that blouse?"

I dutifully replied: "I found it in my drawer."

To which she responded: "Oh.  Your father took you shopping while I was in the hospital."
