Doris Selmonsky Stern & Luke Stern - Honeymoon

 

Story from Peter Stern:

My mother (Doris) as an economy measure usually bought store brand tea.  One day my father (Luke) said to try Lipton tea.  My mother dutifully bought it.  

However, she still had some of the old tea left so she wanted to finish that before starting anything new.  She made tea from the old brand and served it.  My father commented that the new tea was much better which is when my mother informed him that it was the old tea.

Coincidentally, or not, this story is virtually identical to a story my mother told me about Phillip and Pauline, only the tea was Tetley.
