A story from Julie:

My mom Muriel went to The Fashion Institute in Boston.

She had a dressmaking/seamstress clothing alteration business, which she ran from our home – making things extra interesting!

While she would see anyone who got her name from someone, she mainly served the religious Jewish community.  Because of their desire for more modesty, she would regularly create new dresses and outfits for them.

She wouldn’t throw out any remnant because it could be very useful someday in a new clothing conundrum.

Yes, those truly were the days when mom was with us.  She lit up the room with her enthusiasm for life.
