Barry Lehrer
A story from PJ:
When I was five I began competing
in synchronized swimming. I had a
bulletin board in my bedroom and every time I won a new medal or ribbon Barry
would add it to the collection.
When his friends visited, he would
take them into my room and show them off.
I didn’t quite get it, so I asked
him why he did that and he said: “I never won any medals.”
He remained my biggest fan until
the day he died.
