Barry Lehrer – Bermuda

One of Barry’s first jobs was as an accountant at Strumond Valves.  For his Christmas bonus he received a turkey.  Of course, he brought it to our house for Doris to cook.

The turkey was in a sealed box and as he started to open the box, he remarked that it must be a huge turkey, because it weighed a ton.  When he got the box open, it contained a turkey all right, but it also had a lead brick.

I'm sure his colleagues were very amused.
