A story from Peter:

Sue taught me how to ride a bike. She had a girl’s bike with no top bar. I was not tall enough to reach the seat, but I could peddle standing up.

She put me on the peddles and gave me a shove. It was sink or swim.

Fortunately, I survived and within an hour was using the bell to warn people I was approaching.
