Luke Stern 1937

 

A story from PJ:

 

From the time I turned 10 until I was 23, every year on my birthday Luke sent me an original  poem written in his beautiful handwriting. 

 

Here's the one from when I turned 11...

After a few years he clearly felt the need for a greater challenge so the year I turned 14, he wrote the poem in French...

And then, inspired by Peter's residency in Germany no doubt, when I was15 he wrote the poem in German...

 

I was relieved when he went back to English after that. :-)
