Anne Stern
A story from Neilan Stern:
In the 1950's when I was in my mid-teens my mother pointed out an advertisement in the newspaper. It said that Miss Anne Stern, a well-known specialist in fashion, was going to be giving a lecture in a department store in Jamaica, Queens.
Mom told me that Anne was my first cousin, daughter of my father's brother Jacob.
So I went to Anne's appearance and introduced myself. We had a nice conversation for a few minutes. Then she had to go back to work, so I left.
That was the only time I ever met her.
