From 1907 - 1920/1929, Jacob, Fannie, and their family lived in Savannah, Georgia, and owned a grocery store on Yamacraw Bluff, on the south bank of the Savannah River.
Yamacraw Bluff is known as the most historic spot in Georgia, as the Colony of Georgia was founded there on February 12, 1733.
Jacob decided to move the family to NYC sometime between 1920 and 1929, because he wanted his children to marry Jews.
