Pauline Knyper Selmonsky with her children, Joe and Mary.
Story from Bette & Peter:
(Philip and Pauline's children oldest to youngest: Joe, Mary, Louise, Doris, Ethel and Willie)
When they left Warsaw, Poland, Philip and Pauline first went to England where Joe and Mary were born.
Then the family moved to South Carolina and joined a commune. That's where Louise was born.
But the commune failed and Pauline didn't like living on a farm, so the family moved to New York where Philip started a business making cords and tassels. Doris, Ethel and Willie were all born in New York.
