Ethel Selmonsky Jaker and Irv Jaker - 1933
This photo was taken at Camp Keewahkee in Red Hook N.Y. in July 1933.
Here's a story from their daughter, Bette Jaker Barr, confirmed by Peter Stern:
Ethel & Irv, Louise & Itzik, and Joe & Miriam were invited by the relatives to a wedding in England. They decided to go.
As the guests arrived at the reception they were announced.
Ethel and Irv asked to be introduced as "Mr. and Mrs. Irving Jaker, American cousins."
When it was Joe and Miriam's turn, Joe said..."Lord and Lady Selmonsky from Brooklyn!" And that's how they were introduced!!!
