Here's a story about how Harvey became the head of the piano department at the Adler School of Music from Peter:

Harvey volunteered to be the accompanist for a local theater group.  A review of the production called him a "real Find" and included his bio.  Afterward he began giving private piano lessons.

As his reputation grew, he was asked to teach at the school.  He was extremely popular with the students - fully booked with a waiting list.  And he was also in great demand for facility recitals, weddings and other affairs. 

Eventually he was made head of the department, despite his lack of a college degree.
